The real story have not begun yet ( I expected otherwise) as I drove may car off the border heading for Praha. Along the toll highway connecting German – Praha, all looked the same as in Germany, nice road, luxurious German’s car,
variety of grocery chains /stores found in Germany, big and modern logistic / warehouse facilities (at least look like that) – some of them even have typical German’s name. Basically nothing special yet. It seems to me this country have been colonised again by Germans – remind me the history of Germanic tribes conquered the Celtic Boii tribe who lived in this Bohemian region – the region next to and share border with Germany - in the 4th century, continued again by Hitler’s Nazi before it was liberated by US troops and Soviet army at the end of world war II. Yes, this is one of the idea of uniting Europe into European Union, the idea of big guys, the economics idea – economy invasion, profitting more for less. And the bigger guys seem always win.
Forget about those politics, economy, and seriuos things. The real story began in the second day, when I strolled along the old Praha city center, starting from the back side of National museum and end up at the other side of Vltava (don’t ask me how to pronounce) river after crossing the famous Charles bridge. That day was finished by almost being "a victim of pick pocket" executed by a gang of three men when I got into a subway that brought us back to the starting point - where I parked the car. Fortunately I was cool enough even though those guys made me really busy as they tried to split my attention, scramble my consciousness. At least, the last experience of the day has given me what I thought from the very beginning – expecting surprise, expecting the unexpected.
Unfortunately, I can't finished the real story as too many interesting things, and I don’t know which one I should pick after the other, too many nice things that can not be easily expressed since I am not kind of story teller. If you are interested more about Praha, you may click here – I am sure it will tell you better than I do.
